SWMS

All High-Risk Construction Work in Australia legally requires a SWMS. SWMS is a legal binding document which can be used in court.

Risk Assessments

• A risk assessment is mandatory under the WHS Regulations for certain activities that are high risk such as, but not limited to, entry into confined spaces, diving work and live electrical work

• Work Instructions

  work instructions focus on detailed steps for a task Work Instructions break down processes into specific, actionable steps. They focus on individual tasks rather than entire processes. Work Instructions are concerned with the practical aspects of performing tasks efficiently.

• Safe Operating Procedures

  A SOP is a documentation of instructions on how to execute a certain work procedure. It can act as a checklist that guides team members on how to carry out complex work tasks. Similar to Work Instructions SOPs cover entire processes or systems rather than individual tasks.
